Home safe, every day
We believe a safe workplace is a basic expectation of employment. We do everything we can to make sure everyone goes home safely from work each day and night.
We’ve been working hard on health and safety over the past few years. We want to raise performance by improving our systems, attitudes and behaviours. We have made great progress but we understand there is never room for complacency, and we will always strive to improve.
Traffic Management Plan
The gates and roads on port have been numbered and named, and the commonly known landmarks established and sign-posted.

The health and safety policy is used to ensure our sites are safe, healthy and enjoyable places for everyone who works or visits them.
View the policy hereIf you’re working for us or using our sites or equipment, you must complete our health and safety induction processes. These are designed for your safety, and are easy to do online.
Bona fide Reason
Eastland Port is an MPI biosecurity and Customs-controlled area, and access is governed by a range of rules and regulations. Only people who absolutely need to be here are allowed onsite. Eastland Port Operations and Security manages this, and may deny access if they don’t think someone has a genuine (or bona fide) reason for accessing the port.
Permanent port pass
If you intend to undertake work at Eastland Port or are a regular visitor to Eastland Port (for example a contractor or transport operator), you will need to complete our online health and safety induction. This covers the minimum safety protocols that you will need to meet while on port.
Visitor port pass
Please complete the health and safety induction below. You do not need a Port Pass ID card if you are visiting Eastland Port and will be escorted by an ‘elected supervisor’ (someone who works for a business at the port and has a current Port Pass ID card). Please let your 'elected supervisor' know when you have completed the induction.
