Many hands make light work

Over the last few weeks, Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou (TRONP) have been making use of our boat shed while they have put together hundreds of kai and care packages for those impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle.
TRONP’s Ngarangi Walker said, “Some whānau have lost absolutely everything so it’s been pretty full on while we’ve put together vital supplies to be distributed to them.
“The love and support has been truly humbling. We’ve had all sorts of donations like school packs, people giving their time and even had a young girl who wanted to give much of her clothes and toys away.
“We’ve had amazing support from the likes of Eastland Port, Gisborne Boys and Gisborne Girls High School, and iwi all over the country – it’s been an epic team effort.”
Loving the combined community drive – many hands make light work
